Our family moved from the south of Turkey to Istanbul in 1994 and since than we have been running Marmara Guesthouse in the Old City - Sultanahmet. Since the summer of 2008, we have also been running Saruhan Hotel. We're trying to welcome our guests with the comfort of being in a warm family place.

 

Marmara Guesthouse is a great place for those wanting to have a small, quiet and clean accommodation which is very close to museums and the tram station. We have only 12 private rooms with private facilities and we have great sea view from our lovely terrace.

 

We are four in the Family. Me "Elif", my brother "Ersin", my Mum "Mrs.Ayse" and my Father "Mr. Faik".

My brother and I can both fluently speak English and Japanese. We both graduated from university a few years ago, having both studied business administration. We are very happy to talk with our guests about Istanbul, Turkey and History. We would be very happy to answer your questions about Istanbul.

 

Our parents can speak a little English just enough to understand simple things. My mum loves to cook any kind of jams. She is very happy when our guests like them.

 

My father is always busy fixing something or painting in the guesthouse. He always has a lovely smile.
